Surface Decoration
Summary
This new ceramics course will allow you to experiment with different surface decoration techniques.
The course in detail
WEEK 1 - Test Tiles - decorate with slips and underglazes learning different techniques (paper resist, mono printing, layering, sgraffito, inlay, slip trailing and marbling, details with underglazes and stains, combinations of all.
WEEK 2 - Construct decorated tiles into a vessel, finishing touches.
WEEK 3 - Use techniques learnt to decorate slabs using press moulds.
WEEK 4 - Construct vessels from decorated press-moulded slabs.
WEEK 5 - Learn about Mocha diffusion.
WEEK 6 & 7 - Learn about screen printing on clay
WEEK 8 - Learn about glazing

Beginners and intermediate.

Demonstrations, both group and individual.
About Lenka
Lenka completed an MA in Fine art in London focusing on printmaking and ceramics in 2013 . Since then she has joined different ceramics studios in London where she has developed her work has taught various classes. She produces screenprinted functional ceramics under name Gatopollo ceramics. Lenka currently works at The Ceramic Studio as a technician and tutor.
