Our popular Hand Building Classes take place on Mondays (morning sessions only) AND Thursdays (morning and afternoon sessions available). Monday classes are taught my Liz O’Dwyer and Thursday classes are taught by Helen Rondell.

Students will be taught a variety of hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building, as well as being introduced to methods for surface decoration using colourful slips and simple glazes.

At the end of the course, students will have a selection of hand-made ceramics, that can be used and displayed at home.

This course is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to develop their skills with the option of working on more challenging projects with the tutors' support.

The course will cover:

→ Introduction to clay

→ Pinch and coil techniques

→ Slab building

→ Slip decoration

→ Glazing

• Morning Sessions: 9:30am - 12:30pm

• Afternoon Sessions: 1pm - 4pm

£300 for 8 weeks

Bookings for the Early Summer term will open to existing students on 24th March and on 31st March for new students.
